RCD Mallorca has reignited talks with Real Zaragoza to sign winger Adrián Liso, even though the player prefers to stay in La Liga. The Balearic club, recently relegated to Segunda División after finishing 18th in the 2025 season with 42 points (11 wins, 9 draws, 18 losses), is exploring alternatives amid difficulties in securing other signings.
Why is Mallorca targeting Liso?
Interest in Adrián Liso has grown due to setbacks in negotiations for Andorra’s Josep Cerdà, whose club has rejected Mallorca’s offer. Although the Zaragoza youth product aims to play in the top flight-with Sevilla, Levante, and Rayo Vallecano as suitors-Zaragoza’s €5 million asking price has deterred these clubs, as well as Mallorca.
What does Real Zaragoza say?
The Aragonese club remains firm: it will not lower its valuation of Liso, and Mallorca’s current bids fall short of expectations. Still, talks have resumed, and a move to the Balearic Islands is not ruled out, even if the player’s priority remains La Liga.
What’s next for the player?
Adrián Liso, 24, continues pretraining with Zaragoza but has not featured in friendlies against Utebo or Barbastro. His future hinges on whether a La Liga club meets Zaragoza’s fee or if Mallorca can strike a Segunda División deal. The Balearic side, which scored 47 and conceded 57 goals in 2025, aims to bolster its attack for the new season.
