RCD Mallorca is speeding up its reconstruction in Segunda División with 18 million euros secured thanks to the sales of Muriqi, Maffeo, and Larin. The club has received 12 million euros for the sale of Muriqi to Fenerbahçe, 3 million for the sale of Maffeo to Olympiakos, and more than 3 million for the sale of Larin to Southampton. Additionally, the club will receive 16 million euros for the help with the relegation, although it can only use half of it in the first year, and 2.5 million for the clause of Martín Demichelis. The sports management, led by Pablo Ortells, is moving quickly to close the first exits and define the economic margin that the club will have. Mallorca wants to have a clear economic situation before making signings and is working to find the new coach to replace Demichelis. Samu Costa could be one of the next important sales of the club once he finishes his participation with Portugal in the World Cup. Jan Virgili and Leo Román could also leave the club for significant amounts, as both have a clause of 12 million euros. Mallorca will have resources to strengthen itself, but the key will be to manage them well to build a squad capable of returning the team to Primera División. The sports planning is conditioned by the departure of Demichelis to Leipzig, who had participated actively in the preparation of the list of possible reinforcements. Now, the club must review those objectives and find the new coach to take over. Pablo Ortells has a few decisive weeks ahead to define the new project of Mallorca. The club is working to find the right formula to return to Primera División as soon as possible.
