The protocol included an electrocardiogram, an echocardiogram, a stress test, and a personal interview with medical staff. "With a renewed mind, it's a year in which we are all aware of what the main objective is and I believe that from today those of us who are here already have our focus on it," stated the midfielder.
Antonio Raíllo, for his part, emphasized the required change in mentality. "The main key is to clear the mind, knowing that you are in a different category, that it is another style of play in which perhaps you have to be dominant," noted the defender. He acknowledged that the Segunda División is a very professional league where many players have the ambition to reach the Primera División.
Martin Valjent, who did not know Luis García personally before his arrival, described him as an enthusiastic, strong, determined coach eager to begin. The Slovenian defender stressed that the second tier is a very balanced division where group strength, unity, and physical and mental preparation are essential to generate enthusiasm. Abdón Prats, one of the dressing room leaders, urged the team to approach the season with maximum hope and unity, taking inspiration from the team's experience in Segunda B.
