The Estadi Mallorca Son Moix hosted the Women in Sports Forum, organized by RCD Mallorca. Lola Romero, vice president of the Association and director of Atlético de Madrid Femenino, represented Liga F. 04 JUN 2026 Lola Romero participated in one of the roundtable discussions of the day, which focused on the role of institutions in women's football in terms of governance, regulation, investment, and strategy, alongside Reyes Bellver; director of Women's Football at the RFEF, Sue Day, director of women's football at the English Football Association, and Jordi Horrach, president of the Federació de Futbol de les Illes Balears (FFIB). RCD Mallorca's Communications Director, Héctor Martín, moderated the event, which was inaugurated by Alfonso Díaz, CEO of the Mallorcan entity, who highlighted the "pride of hosting a forum like this. Women's sports are at a critical moment and need more resources, visibility, structures, and a sustained commitment from those involved in this world”. In this sense, Díaz explained that the entity has wanted to "be part of this impulse with a sustainable project and an adequate structure, such as the birth of RCD Mallorca femenino, which will progress and grow over time from the alevín category”. Taking advantage of the international match between Spain and England at the Estadi Mallorca Son Moix, which is a qualifying match for the 2027 World Cup, RCD Mallorca has organized this forum with the aim of highlighting the role of women in sports, generating spaces for reflection, and making visible the challenges and opportunities faced by women's sports today.
